My name is Ben Hotte. I am 13 years old. This is my fourth year in 4-H. I have a steer this year for the third time. His name is Jimmy He is a Purebred Polled Hereford born in the spring of 2021. Jimmy is a very good 4-H calf. He has a great personality and I like spending time with him. He is eating 18 lbs of barley, 10 lbs of wheat, 2 lbs of 32% protein supplement with rumensin and free choice hay. He has grown well for me. I like how he is turning out, and I look forward to finding out how much weight he has gained. Having a steer for the third time has been a good experience. I enjoy working in the shop and I want to be a farmer/mechanic when I grow up.
