My name is Kael Earl. I am 13 years old and have been a part of the Savanna 4-H multi club for seven years. I was a clever for 2 years in goat and this is my 5th year in beef. I am in grade 8 and my favorite pastime is to play basketball. Even though we have not had a team due to not enough people. My steer is an angus cross. His name is “The great Bartholomew Steven Jr the 3rd” or Steven for short. For his feed, he is getting a mixed ration of oats, barley, peas, corn, and rumenson. All of this is laid on a bed of silage, along with free choice hay. My favorite thing about him is how easy it is to lead him around the pen. However, I do not like how difficult it is to put the halter on his head.
