Hello! My name is Owen Yuha. I am nine years old and this is my first year in 4-H and I have a market steer project. My steer’s name is Buddy and he is a red Angus / Simmental cross. I’m feeding him 14 lbs of barley, 8 lbs of oats, 2 lbs of 32% protein supplement with rumensin, and free choice brome alfalfa hay. Buddy is growing well. I picked Buddy from my Grandpa’s herd because he was calm and big. I like leading Buddy but only when he cooperates. I love helping my Grandpa, Dad and Uncles on the farm and especially when we take cows to the pasture. I also like to play hockey and ride my bike.
