Hello, my name is Tanner Hingley. I am 14 years old and this is my second year in 4-H. My winters are busy with hockey but I still find time to work hard with my steer to get him finished. My steer’s name is CRAIG and I have been feeding him Keddie’s 4-H Ration since November. I bought my steer from my Uncle Craig who owns H Lazy A Ranch; that is why I named him Craig! He is a simmental cross steer, born on March 19, 2022. My goal this year is to raise a finished steer that will fill someone’s freezer with amazing tasting beef. Both of my parents were in 4-H so they have helped me to prepare my calf for Achievement Day. Joining 4 H has shown me that I want to raise my own cattle and that is why I used last year's 4-H money to buy my own bred heifer this spring, and she gave me a healthy heifer to add to my herd!!
