Hi, my name is Tuff Brett. I am 11 years old. This is my 3 rd year with a beef project in the Savanna 4H Multi club. I also play hockey and this year I was the goalie for the Savanna Stars U13 team. This last winter I also got to go to a few rodeos and won my first buckle in the team roping with my dad. I was very busy this year but have had a lot of fun too. My steer this year is a Simmental steer that I named Johny. He is my favorite steer so far. He has a good personality and it pretty gentle. Johny weighted in at 680 at our club weigh in day. He loves to eat and has been gaining very well. He loves his food and is always at the trough!! In addition to his hay and silage I started him out on a grain ration from Keddies. At the start I gave him a starter ration and then moved him to a grower ration. He is now on a finisher ration and is eating 25lbs of it per day. I think Johny is a flashy steer with good length and a straight top line. He is all ready for you to come have a look!
